Abstract
  • This paper reports on the first phase of a joint King's Fund Centre and Nuffield Institute initiative on monitoring community care implementation. It provides the first independent account of progress in implementing the community care changes which is based on sampling a vertical cross section of stakeholders in a range of localities. The monitoring involves working with five focus groups established in a range of localities across the country including an inner and outer London borough, two shire counties and a metropolitan authority.
