  • The conference was convened by the King's Fund and the Association of General Practitioner Hospitals, to promote discussion and debate on the place that English and Welsh general practitioner hospitals have in the provision of care for the elderly. Topics under discussion included the provision of co-ordinated community geriatric care from a general practitioner hospital; the consultant's and the consumer's view of general practice; the role of the social services, and, allocating resources.
