  • This survey of employee opinion was an innovation in the hospital field and so it is hoped that it will be of interest to a wider audience than just the London Hospital Group as some of the results have implications of more general interest. A small number of results from the survey are presented as they relate to issues of widespread interest in the hospital service. Attention has been drawn to some wider implications of the overall view emerging from the survey. The report outlines some suggestions for future application of employee opinion surveys in the hospital field as a means of improving communications in large organisations, and as a tool for collecting information which can have considerable bearing on personnel policy.
