  • The aim of the project is to identify and specify in detail the transcriptional needs of those applying phonetic representation in the analysis of disordered speech. Transcriptional conventions for the phonetic representation of disordered speech have been devised and the report aims to publicise the recommended conventions in appropriate ways in order to attempt to standardise usage. The accompanying cassette illustrates the sounds of the recommended additional phonetic symbols.
