  • This report is of a forum held at the King's Fund Centre on the study of the history of nursing and the lessons it has for nurses. The four speakers volunteered topics appropriate to the title of the forum. Winifred Hector spoke on the evolution of nursing status, followed by Fannie Storr on the Enrolled nurse past, present and future. Both Ann Lockwood and Rosemary White examined the educational entry requirements for nurses as a significant factor in the history of nursing.
