Abstract
  • This conference approached the subject of the school health service and the work carried out by school nurses. By way of introduction, the evolution of the school health service was outlined. This was followed by a discussion of the service from the viewpoints of school nurse and consumer. The role of the education authority and ways of improving co-operation within the school health service were examined. The report concludes with a resume of trends and innovations in school nursing.
