  • The International Seminar of Nurses held at the King's Fund College in July 1976 was the third in the series. The question of leadership and the emergence of leaders is of paramount importance to the nursing profession in the three countries represented, Canada, United Kingdom and United States of America. The objectives of the seminar were to concentrate discussion and thinking among nurses in strategic positions in leadership and to look specifically at four areas : i) the nature of leadership ii) definition of the role of responsibility of nurses for leadership in a health care delivery system iii) the emergence of leaders iv) evaluation of leadership performance.
