Abstract
  • This document was first published for use within the Mid-Glamorgan Health Authority and later revised for wider use. It aims to offer guidance to staff working in an accident and emergency department, especially for those staffing the department at night when advice may be less readily accessible. Principles of procedure and responsibilities of communication are given, for those working in the department. In order that this publication be used to its best advantage, spaces have been left blank in the appendices for relevant information to be inserted by local administrators before the publication is circulated.
