  • This booklet does not attempt to provide an exhaustive index of all the best ideas for providing better services for people with learning difficulties. The aim has been to provide a simple narrative describing some of the ideas and practices which have come to the notice of the Hospital Centre during recent months, mainly in response to an invitation which was sent tp every hospital and health service authority in the country and to a large number of voluntary organisations, asking for details of innovations or experiments which might usefully be adopted or adapted by other workers in the field.
