  • The Task Force was established in 1986 to help health authorities to implement equal opportunities policies for all racial groups in the health service. This 'model' policy has been created from a number of policies sent to the Task Force by health authorities, using those sections which seem most suitable for general application. Although described as a 'model' policy, it is not expected that authorities will use it precisely in the form in which it is published, but rather that it will be used as a basis upon which individual circumstances may be adapted. Some general guidance notes are included.
