Abstract
  • This is a report of the initiative in Islington which was part of a larger project to test out ideas which came from a number of sources. It was concerned with looking at how far small-scale approaches to the management and delivery of services could improve the quality of primary health care and overcome failures in collaboration at local level. The Islington initiative is described here; those in Riverside and Lewisham and North Southwark have been written up separately.
