Abstract
  • The aims of the research were to identify the work of carers of elderly people from the Afro-Caribbeans, Asians and Vietnamese/Chinese communities; to identify gaps in support services provided by statutory agencies; to assess and produce information for carers in different languages; to identify areas for developing self-help groups or schemes. The book represents the research methods and findings about carers in the above communities; and recommendations for community and voluntary organisations, health services, social services and research organisations.
