Abstract
  • The sixth King's Fund Forum was held in London from 26 to 28 June. Five questions were addressed; what is the relationship between dietary fats, blood cholesterol and the levels of coronary heart disease; what individual or community-wide dietary or other interventions can reduce blood cholesterol levels and the risk of coronary heart disease safely; how useful is the measurement of blood cholesterol levels in identifying individuals at risk of coronary heart disease and in their subsequent management; should the management of blood cholesterol levels be an integral part of the assessment of individuals at risk of coronary heart disease, and what are the most effective options for organising such services; and how will the costs of such services influence the choice of options made.
