Abstract
  • The Task Force first published guidance about the role of the health service equal opportunities advisers in 1988. At that time only 8 advisers had been appointed. Since then the number has more than doubled and appointments at regional and unit as well as district level have been made. This paper indicates the issues authorities may wish to take into consideration in making appointments.
