The workshop day aimed to bring together people from a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies in the field of health, social services, and education, with a particular interest on grassroots organisations working in minority ethnic communities. The overall objective was to create an awareness of young Black carers. It hoped to: pool the experience of those already supporting families in the community in a variety of settings; share learning on how to help young Black carers find a voice; break down professional boundaries and establish a multidisciplinary approach to working with young Black carers.
