Abstract
  • The development of multidisciplinary working in the administrative and clinical settings received much comment in the evidence at the Royal Commission. The first paper here is a summary of the issues involved. The second, by Professor Ivor Batchelor, a member of the Commission and Professor of Psychiatry, details experience of the multidisciplinary approach in clinical psychiatry. The final paper provides a nursing view of the multidisciplinary team from Professor Baroness Jean McFarlane, professor of nursing at Manchester University.
