Abstract
  • This report looks at the existing provision of pay beds in the Voluntary Hospital service in London. Pay beds are for those patients of moderate means who can pay up to seven guineas a week and a limited amount in medical fees. By people contributing to the hospital services which they use, in an amount they can afford, all classes of the community help towards providing hospital services which benefit everybody.
