Abstract
  • This report analyses the impact of employment on health in Britain and reviews the disparate elements of Government policy which affect worker's health. At national level, the report argues for a comprehensive approach to occupational health, requiring the co-ordination of strategies across government departments. Drawing on international experiences, the report outlines a number of strategies. It argues that an occupational health policy should not be drawn up in isolation but as part of a coherent strategy for achieving Health for All by the year 2000.
